Day 12: I am thankful we were able to find an in-home daycare that wanted teachers' kids. Today was Eli's first day of daycare. I had a few tears on the way there. Eli had fallen asleep on the way there so it made it easier for me to leave. Once I gave a run through of a typical day, I quick turned around and left before I thought about it any more. Apparently, he was a bit fussy but he made it. She also realized that at times she could set her watch to his feeding schedule-every two hours.
Eli will get to play with another boy who is only one week younger than him. It will be fun to watch the boys grow up together; they have already stared and try to reach for each other. The interactions are precious. I'm thankful we were able to find a caring woman who will be there to keep my son safe during the day.
Also, Eli has started a new trend the last couple of days where he sleeps around 9 pm now. Bedtime has been moved up but still sleeps. Last night he slept from 930pm-515am. Yep, you read that right- almost 8 hours. Crazy huh?
