Our Growing Family: 3 months

Wow, the 3 month milestone. In this past month you have become very alert. You just want to play and stand and look around when you are awake. Under the play gym you will play for about an hour at a time if not longer. Your arms flair and your legs kick like crazy. You bat at toys and are starting to grip toys.

Your hands have also become a favorite. Sometimes when you're in your crib or on the way to daycare I hear you just smacking away on them. Because you are fascinated with your hands you refuse nuks. When we try to give you one you gag and usually fuss and/or cry.

Bath time will soon need to be moved to the bathtub because in the sink you love to kick there too and the water goes all over the place. You love to just soak and splash in there.

This month has been an adjustment one for the both of us. I have had to go to work and you have had to start daycare. I know that you are being cared for but it isn't the same instinctive care that I give you. Luckily the first times I had to drop you off you were sleeping so it made it easier. You're having fun playing and see the other baby but you aren't wanting to take naps which makes it rough on the daycare lady and you. I hope this is just an adjustment phase.

Here are some other fun things that happened this month

YOU....

Were baptized October 27^th at the 5:30 service and you didn’t even cry when the water hit your head
Had your first halloween and weren’t very excited when the doorbell kept ringing
Had your grandma Fluff and auntie Vitty come and watch you for a couple of days when mom when back to work
Started in home daycare
Had your other grandma come and watch you for a couple days
Smile and giggle a lot. You coo and talk to mommy and daddy and your toys.
LOVE to play on the floor under the play gym
Now can pull the yellow ducky all the way down when you play under there
Sit in your bumbo seat but tip to the right a little
Still are all smiles when you are on the changing table
Went to a craft show with mommy and slept in the carrier
Drool a lot! You wear a bib to save your clothes
Are very alert. People say you look like you are about 4-6 months old for how alert you are
Hold your head and turn from left to right as you look around and take everything in
LOVE anything with lights and the color RED
Made another trip to Cabelas
Turn on your side on the floor and in the crib. Lately when mommy goes to check on you, you are facing in the opposite direction in which you were laid down
Still eat about 2-3 hours and take 4 oz.
Have started to sleep until about 4-5 am :)
Got your first Huskers toy and burp cloth. Daddy was very excited.

We didn't get to take our photos by the teddy bear because we ran out of time getting ready to leave. You did have your 3 month photos taken before we left and they're going to be adorable. Here are a couple pics from our stop at Cabelas though.
