39 weeks

Wow, 39 weeks already!  I can't believe baby will be here very soon.  Monday we had a doctor's appointment and everything turned out ok with baby.  His heart rate was good and he did well with his practice breathing again.  The doctor decided to strip or sweep (I don't know exactly what its called) the membrane since I haven't dilated any more in hopes of speeding up the process.  We also scheduled an appointment for Monday which the doctor requested stating that if nothing happens by then we will then set up a time to induce for next Tuesday or Wednesday.  I pray that baby will come on his own so that I don't have to start this process unnaturally or have to schedule a c-section but again it is pretty much out of my hands.

39 weeks

Today marks the first day of school and my sub has taken over.  It is quite weird to be home and not with my co-workers and students for the first day.  It is harder than I thought it would be to let someone else take over my room.  I hope baby comes soon and then I probably won't even think of school but until then I'm thinking of all of the things that I hope I left for the sub or wondering if things are getting done the way I had envisioned.  I went in Monday and Tuesday for teacher work days to try and get it ready but then when I left yesterday I had to hand my keys over; it is what it is now and I just have to let it go.

Next appointment is tomorrow morning.
