Mother's Day and 26 Weeks

Last weekend I was able to see my mom, sister, aunt, and grandma in Madison for a girls weekend/mother's day get together.  It was much needed since I hadn't seen my mom and sister since the end of February.  Needless to say, they were quite surprised to see my belly in person.  It's not a little bump anymore.

Saturday, Vic and I went to the farmers market.  I couldn't pass up a huge cinnamon roll and smoothie.  We also got some cheese curds to take with us, something you have to get when you're back in Wisconsin.  The rest of the day was filled with looking at some baby stuff at Target and getting some supplies for the baby shower.

After that we couldn't pass up dessert since Vic has an ice cream shop in Madison that actually serves the chocolate shoppe blue moon.  It is rare to find true blue moon; I was very excited to say the least!

Sunday morning we went to brunch for mother's day.  It was great to spend the weekend with my mom for mother's day, that hasn't happened in a few years.  Grandma kept saying how next year I would be a mother too celebrating mother's day!  I hope that all mothers out there had a wonderful mother's day and were able to spend it with their loved ones.

Tuesday marked week 26 and I think I'm feeling some movement in there.  Since this is all new for me I'm not sure exactly what I should be feeling but I'm fairly certain there are little kicks.

26 weeks

Monday and Tuesday will be my last days of school for the school year, then it's baby time.  Time to get ready for the shower, work on the nursery, and organize- plus still working on my book reports for my masters.
