25 Weeks

Let's see, what has happened in the last week.  First of all, I went to a fellow teacher's baby shower last week and of course because I'm pregnant people were like "hold her, you need practice."  Of course you all know that I don't do well with all eyes on me especially when it comes to holding babies.  Just because I'm having a baby doesn't mean that I am comfortable with them.  I hope that when baby boy arrives my motherly instincts will kick in and I won't be scared I'll break him.  This however made me realize that I am very excited but very nervous for baby to arrive.

Last week the temperature rose too.  Yikes, it's going to be a long summer!  I could tell my hands and feet were getting tight and my ring no longer fits.  I've had to change to a different ring and that was even getting tight at times.  I've been trying to drink water with lemon as I heard that lemon might assist in the swelling but who knows; I figure its worth a try though.

The fun, but also stressful, part of the weekend was when we went to register for our gift registry.  Just like with our wedding, Josh was in charge of the scanner.  He picked out some toys and things related to sports.  He was having a great time with the scanner as I was trying to read and compare products.  At some point we just starting scanning stuff realizing we could take it off if we needed but at least we put some options on there.  The trickiest thing for me was what kind of bottles and how many.  I also haven't put anything on the list for nursing as I didn't know what was all needed, or where to start.  Any suggestions from moms out there would be greatly appreciated :)  We ended up going to Target and Babies R Us; it was fun looking at the cute baby stuff out there.  Josh and I had quite a few laughs at ourselves and our current lack of baby knowledge; we're trying though.

Here is my week 25 photo.  I didn't know when Josh would be home to take the photo so I changed into my PJ's:)  According to one website that I follow, baby should be about 1.5- 2 pounds and about 13.5 inches long.

This weekend I get to go to Madison for a girls weekend with my sister, mom, grandma, and aunt.  I'm really looking forward to it and we're going to finalize some plans and ideas for the baby shower.  I can't wait!!!

Oh and congrats to our good friends Chris and Ashlee on the arrival of their little girl, Sloane.  She's a cutie!

Also 10 days of school left!!
