Just a quick update, more will come when Eli is actually 2 months. Yesterday was his 2 month wellness check-up. He weighed 11 lbs 14.5 oz and had a length of 23 inches. The doctor said he looked good and healthy.
Then came the shots. The poor guy was a trooper! He had 2 shots in one leg and another one in the other leg. He screamed but then calmed down when he was held. The rest of the day he was very sleepy. Eli only woke up to eat and then would go back to sleep. He was awake around 4pm and we took a walk and had bath time. This seemed to calm him. Luckily he didn't have a fever and was just a bit fussy. He night routine remained the same...I was hoping for a longer period of sleep.
We again asked the doctor about his eating habits. He wants to eat every 2- 3 hours and he is strictly on formula. At certain parts of the day he wants to eat sooner than 2 hours. When we try to give him more, then he spits up. The doctor suggested that we change the flow of the bottle and he should be eating between 3.5 and 4 oz. We started this yesterday. Eli seems to eat more but the time is still about the same. Hopefully he'll adjust and he can get to the 4 oz. Any mothers out there with any suggestions, feel free to let me know!
