Time is flying already, you're two months! Where has the time gone? The shirt that you wore in your one month photo doesn't fit you already- you're definitely too long for it. I know I wrote that at one month you were getting to be a little boy but now you really are. Some of your personality is starting to show. When you are happy it melts my heart since you now are smiling and "talking" to us. When you are mad you make sure that the whole neighbor knows- your face gets very red, a vein in your head sticks out, and you pull your arms back and let it fly. Thank goodness for the most part you are a content boy!

We continue to venture out to stores and you have been to church 3 times now! You like the music and when the organ stops, you tend to move or wake up.
You still want to eat all the time it seems like. When we went to your 8 week appointment we talked to the doctor about this. She recommended that we change the flow of the nipple on the bottle and try to increase the amount that you get. Well we tried that and you ate but a third of the formula felt that it came up. We struggled for about a week with you spitting up a lot. Apparently your tummy isn't big enough to eat all of that at once. So we have been experimenting. We went back to the original bottle, a little bit smaller amount of food, and we aren't warming the bottles up as much. Someone suggested that we add rice cereal to help keep you fuller longer too, just a little has been added to your bottle. So far its been successful! Very little spit up! We want to make sure you keep getting those calories to grow big and strong.
Here are some things to remember during month 2:
YOU....
- Weighed 11 lb 14.5 oz at your 8 week check-up and measured 23 inches
- Were a trooper when you had your shots- 2 in one leg and 1 in the other. This made you very sleepy the rest of the day.
- Made another trip to Wisconsin to celebrate the life of your great-grandpa Martino. The trip went very well.
- There were two nights in which you slept 4-4.5 hrs at one time. Momma would like for this to happen more often!
- Smile! You’re whole face gets involved and your tongue sticks out
- Had your first trip to Cabelas. We had a bottle staring at the caribou.
- Have a strong neck and can hold your head. You are happiest when standing
- Can stand and turn your head to look around
- Love to look at lights and fans
- Look Mom and Dad in the eye
- Track objects and love to look at your mobile in your swing
- Have just recently (past 3 nights) started to sleep about 5 hours at night and you had one night of 6 hours!!
- Still eat like a hungry hippo every 2-3 hrs
- Want to keep eating and cry when we take a break to burp
- Are getting better at putting yourself to sleep in the crib
- Coo and “talk” to Mom and Dad
- Have played in your jumperoo with support from a blanket

| Cool Dude!! |
Daddy and I are so blessed to have such a handsome little boy. No matter what type of day we have had or how much you might fuss, when you smile all is right with the world. The best part of my day is when you look me in the eye, smile, and try to talk to me. It melts my heart. I'm not sure how I'm going to be able to go back to school in a few weeks- I've only been away from you for 2-3 hours at a time.
Continue to be happy and grow big and strong. We look forward to seeing how you grow in the next month!
Love,
Mommy
