Christmas 2012

We left to go back to Wisconsin on Saturday, Dec. 22.  We were lucky that we even made it since we just had 14 inches of snow dumped on us the past Wednesday night/Thursday.  The highway was horrible and thank goodness I wasn't the driver.  I was white knuckles in the back seat with Eli.  If the roads didn't improve by the time we got to Ames we were going to turn around. Thank goodness they got better as we got further north.

The holidays always go so fast but we tried to cram in as much as we could.  It felt like we were always going but we were able to do quite a bit.  Of course Eli made quite the hall for his first Christmas.  He was a great boy who made it through Christmas Eve church service.  At one quiet point though, he let out a loud burp.  It was funny.  He also had a great time looking at Auntie Vitty and "flirting."

We had to have a Packer party too!  So fun to watch in Wisconsin where you see people in their green and gold!!

We thought he may have no interest in Christmas but he definitely ripped some paper and even played with his toys for a bit before trying to move onto the next thing.

        We also investigated the tree.

Eli and Auntie

We had to leave on Christmas Day to come back to Iowa.  Carter got to ride in the front seat on the way back since our gifts took up most of the truck :)  Thank you to all for making Eli's first Christmas the best!  I can't wait to see him open up gifts next year.

Note:  I had this written awhile ago but just realized it wasn't published.  Oops
