29 Weeks

Today marks the start of week 29.  Time is just flying.  Yesterday marked my 29th birthday as well- crazy.  Thank you for all of the wonderful birthday wishes.  It's strange that as you get older it just feels like another day.  We did go for dinner and of course you can't deny a pregnant-birthday girl an ice cream treat.  A DQ run was a great end to the evening!  A year ago I ran my first 5k, what a difference a year makes :)  And as my friend Ashley pointed out, which I said to Josh at dinner as well, is that next years birthday, the big 3-0, will mean our baby will almost be a year old.  I think that was the crazy part to think of.  Things are constantly changing...

29 weeks

Anyways, not much new here.  Today was busy making some necessary phone calls about pediatricians, another daycare, and prenatal classes.  As you can tell from the picture, it's getting pretty hot here.  Carter and I have still been taking our walks but the last two days had to get cut short due to temperature.  I figure this will pretty much be my clothing attire for the remainder of the summer :)

Josh's mom, Sherri, came to visit this past weekend which was nice since she hadn't been here in a while.  We got to show off the baby furniture :)  She also brought along our travel system/stroller that she got for us.  We of course had a new parent moment when we couldn't get the car seat off the base....turns out we were pressing the wrong button ;)  Oh well, we eventually figured it out and again laughed at ourselves.  Thank you very much Sherri for the gift.  We love it!!
